Motorcyclist has died, one week after Agawam crash

Towle, a 45 year-old Agawam resident, was rushed to Baystate Medical Center’s Trauma Center following the accident on Monday, November 10. That night, Agawam Police Sgt. Jennifer Blanchette told 22News that Towle’s motorcycle hit a car that turned in front of it.

Towle was rushed to Baystate Medical Center. The Agawam Police Department was notified on Tuesday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that Towle had died.

Detura allegedly told police she had turned on her left blinker and did not see the approaching motorcycle before she turned. 
Jonathan Towle was traveling on Sheri Lane when a 52-year-old woman driving a car was attempting to turn left onto Sheri Lane and struck Towle. Towle was seriously injured and did several days later at a local medical center. The accident is still under investigation.
