Police charged a 48-year-old North Circle Drive man with drunken driving after he allegedly crashed his moped at Mapleshade Avenue and Elm street early Saturday.

Police charged a 48-year-old North Circle Drive man with drunken driving after he allegedly crashed his moped at Mapleshade Avenue and Elm street early Saturday.
Sgt. Patrick Manley said a passerby reported the crash about 1:50 a.m. The rider, David D. Sunter, of 68 North Circle Drive, was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Manley said.
Manley said moped operators are required to follow the same laws of the road that govern motor vehicle drivers.
