A man who allegedly injured three young teenagers, one critically, while driving drunk Monday night, was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail during his arraignment in District Court.
A Springfield man was arraigned on numerous charges Tuesday in a pedestrian accident that injured three children in Springfield Monday night. Springfield Police charged 58-year-old Pedro Gonzalez with operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious injury, operating under the influence of alcohol, second offense, and a crosswalk violation. Gonzalez was driving a van that hit three children in a crosswalk at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Montmorenci Street. A 13-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old boy were still hospitalized Wednesday night. The 11-year-old is listed in critical condition. Check back for updates on their condition.
