Meghan Scahill was charged in the crash, James Leydon, a spokesman for the Hampden District Attorney's office, said.

Schahill, 38, of Westfield, never touched the brakes as her Ford hatchback swerved across Route 20 and plowed into the parking lot of Little George's restaurant, according to witness statements included in a police summary of the accident.
