IU South Bend professor killed in car crash

Police say 55-year-old LuAnn Woodrick of Galien was driving east on U.S. 12, and 52-year-old Jeffrey Norman of Granger was driving westbound. Authorities believe one of the cars crossed the center line around 6:47 a.m., leading them to hit head-on. Both drivers had to be extricated from their cars, and both were taken to the hospital. Norman was treated for minor injuries, but Woodrick was pronounced dead at the hospital.
