Snowmobiler dies in crash with truck

"There was poor visibility with blowing and drifting snow along with heavy snowfall," Martin said. "I'm sure the weather played a factor in the accident."
A man was snowmobiling in Baroda Township, Berrien County on Sunday evening when a pickup truck struck him. The accident occurred while a winter storm warning was in effect, just after 6 p.m. A 2003 Chevy truck was driving south on Cleveland and turning left into a private driveway when it collided with a snowmobile operated by Aaron Olmstead. Olmstead was traveling north along Cleveland. Martin said Olmstead was ejected from the snowmobile and pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver, Jonah Stoll, 18, was not issued a traffic citation. Neither Stoll nor his passenger were injured. At the time of the accident the area was under a winter storm warning.
