Authorities say a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Linda Krcma, 26, of Covert Township, was headed south on County Line and stopped at the intersection of Red Arrow Highway. She then pulled into the intersection, into the path of an eastbound motorcycle, the sheriff’s department said. The vehicles collided.
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car east of Watervliet Saturday afternoon. It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Red Arrow Highway near County Line Road in Watervliet Township, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities say a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Linda Krcma, 26, of Covert Township, was headed south on County Line and stopped at the intersection of Red Arrow Highway. She then pulled into the intersection, into the path of an eastbound motorcycle, the sheriff’s department said. The vehicles collided. The driver of the motorcycle, 54-year-old William Raymond, of Watervliet, was taken to Lakeland ER-Watervliet, where he was pronounced dead. His daughter and passenger, 20-year-old Arica Raymond sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. Krcma was taken to Lakelake ER-St. Joseph with non-life-threatening injuries.
