Two Livonia freshmen killed in fiery crash

The teens, whose names and ages were being withheld in the early stages of the investigation, were in a Ford Mustang that was traveling west on Plymouth Road west of Haggerty, near the Courthouse Grille, when it crashed into an eastbound minivan, rolled over, went through the restaurant parking lot and into a wooded area above Hines Drive, police said. The car was completely engulfed in flames, said Plymouth Township Chief Tom Tiderington.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner on Tuesday confirmed the victims were Deqouya Carroll and Mark Wittrock. Their cause and manner of death are still officially listed as "pending."
