Texting driver causes crash with semi truck
The 21-year-old Merrill man driving the car was treated at the scene by emergency responders and released. The semi truck driver, a 39-year-old man from Dearborn Heights was not injured.
After investigating, deputies found the 21-year-old was texting when he ran the stoplight. He was given citations for texting and driving along with disregarding a traffic signal.
