A crash between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer semi near Eagle Precision Products resulted in the death of a man on Friday, Oct. 17.

Daniel Norris, 71, died in a crash around 9 p.m. that involved a semi-tractor trailer on Evanston Road near Northwood Drive in Egelston Township, authorities said.
An accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer resulted in the death of a man on Friday. The crash happened just before 9 p.m. when the semi turned in front of the pickup truck, which was traveling westbound on Evanston Avenue near Wolf Lake Road. The pickup truck struck the back, passenger side corner of the trailer. The pickup truck's driver was pronounced dead at the scene. CPR was given to the man at the scene but was stopped. The semi driver was uninjured. It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol played a factor and whether or not legal action will be taken.
