Suspect leads police on chase, crashes motorcycle

An Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a Suzuki motorcycle just after midnight Tuesday near Cottonwood Drive and Monte Carlo in Georgetown Township.

A Sheriff attempted to stop a motorcycle when the driver took off quickly. He lead the deputy on a short chase before he lost control of his vehicle and crashed. The driver was thrown from the motorcycle and rolled several times, but was uninjured. The motorcycle came to rest in a resident's yard. He is currently held at the Ottawa County Jail for fleeing and eluding, and driving with a suspended license. His identity has not yet been released.
