Deputies in St. Joseph County responded to a crash between a semi and a pick-up Thursday on US-131.
An accident involving a semi and a pickup truck occured at approximately 11:30 am Thursday on US-131 near Heimbach Road. A 51-year-old Indiana man was operating his pickup truck when he attempted to cross the median and drove into the path of the southbound semi. The semi driver attempted to avoid the truck but hit it right behind the cab, tearing the bed from the truck. The pickup driver thankfully only sustained minor injuries, while the driver of the semi was uninjured. We will have more details on this story as they emerge.
