It was about 2:43pm when Vantuyl was riding a snowmobile on Winston Road near some blueberry fileds, and he crashed into a drainage ditch that had been obscured by recent snowfall. Though he was wearing a helmet, Vantuyl was critically injured in the accident and remains at the hospital.
