According to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff, Cassi Stephens, 18, was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu heading south on Sprinkle Road, when the driver turned east onto East Michigan Avenue in front of a pickup truck heading north. The driver of the Malibu, a 19-year-old Richland man, was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
