A 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after a car crash in Lowell Township Wednesday morning.
17-year-old Hayleigh Borton is in critical condition after a car crash in Lowell Township Wednesday morning. It happened in the 11000 block of 36th Street SE. According to police, 18-year-old Alexandra Tremblay was driving a Ford Taurus west on 36th Street when she tried to avoid a pickup truck that had stopped on the road to help a driver who had gone into a ditch. Tremblay was not injured, but the girl in the front passenger seat was seriously injured. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Two more 17-year-olds were in the backseat of the car when the accident occurred. One of the teens received minor injuries, and the other was not hurt. Police said that all people in the car were wearing their seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor.
