Crash on Apple Avenue leaves 1 with 'life-threatening' injuries, 1 with critical injuries, police say

The officer put on his cruiser lights and sped up to 100 mph in an effort to catch up with Redmon, who was a ways ahead of him at the time, Sanford said.
At about 1:15am, Theodore Redmon, 29, was caught speeding at 79 mph on Apple Avenue. As he was approaching Mill Iron Road, he suddenly slammed on the brakes and veered off to the right, striking both a telephone pole and parked car with a female driver and male passenger, both 24. The woman is still hospitalized with critical injuries, while the man remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Redmon and the two passengers in his car all received minor injuries. There is currently a warrant for Redmon's arrest for operating a motor vehicle while impaired, causing serious injuries.
