Newaygo man, 20, dies in rollover crash

A 20-year-old Newaygo man died Wednesday, Dec. 17 after he was ejected from his vehicle when it crashed on an icy road.

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office says Chance Frederick, 20, of Newaygo was headed east on Jefferson when he lost control on the icy road. His car left the north side of the road and rolled.
Chance Frederick was traveling east on Jefferson Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy road. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle during the crash. The car overturned, and he died at the scene.
