Man, 72, accused of hitting bicyclist, leaving

Ferrier was arrested at his home a short time after the crash. His bond has been set at $10,000. 
A Montcalm County man is facing criminal charges after allegedly colliding a bicyclist with his car and then leaving the scene. Albert Ferrier, 72, of Stanton was charged with operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. Joseph Pruitt, 27, was riding his bicycle on the shoulder of Sheridan Road south of Stanton when a vehicle left the northbound lane and crashed into him. The driver of the car left the scene. Pruitt was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital in serious condition. He was upgraded to good condition Tuesday.
