Kent County sheriff's deputies said the woman and a 33-year-old Nelson Township woman was driving west on 15 Mile Road when a northbound 2015 Ford F-150 pickup went through a stop sign. It collided with the woman's 2011 Ford Fusion.

On Wednesday, Judge Sara Smolenski bound Crystal’s case to felony court. He faces six charges[1] including reckless driving causing death, leaving the scene of a deadly crash and drunk driving. Crystal faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted.

Kent County Circuit Judge Mark Trusock sentenced Crystal to 10 to 15 years in prison for failure to stop at the scene of an accident when at fault, causing death, 10 to 15 years in prison for drunk driving causing death, and three to five years in prison for drunk driving causing a serious injury.
