Teen driver dead after car crashes into Allegan County home

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says an 18-year-old woman was killed Tuesday after her car was struck by a box truck and then crashed into a home.

"Someone with a full life ahead of her, and it's been tragically cut short, so that's what makes it even more difficult," he said.

Friends remember Allegan Co. crash victim

Late Tuesday afternoon, we spoke with one of her best friends, who was out here to say goodbye.

She tells us Peters graduated from Plainwell High School, and had played softball there.

Friends say she was outgoing and funny, and that her happy laugh will be missed by many.

Murphy's former teammates tell us she was the heart and soul of the softball program. And came back to help, even after she graduated.

"She would do anything for anyone, no matter who it was," said Kristine Filip.
