Teen injured in car-bicycle accident - Upper Peninsula ABC 10

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post say the accident happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of South Calumet Street and South Hecla Street. LAURIUM '€” A Wisconsin teenager was airlifted for treatment of possible head injuries after a car-bicycle accident in the Village of Laurium Wednesday evening. He was later airlifted to the University of Wisconsin hospital in Madison, Wisconsin with possible head injuries. Michigan State Police were assisted at the scene by the Laurium and Calumet Police Departments and Mercy Ambulance. A vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Calumet man was traveling north on South Calumet Street when a a 13-year-old Green Bay, Wisconsin male failed to stop his bicycle at the intersection.
