A man was hurt Sunday when the snowmobile he was riding on crashed and he was thrown from the vehicle.
A man was hurt Sunday when the snowmobile he was riding on crashed and he was thrown from the vehicle. It happened around 6 a.m. on the eastern shoreline of Magician Lake in Silver Creek Township, northwest of Dowagiac, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. Ryan Smit, 20, was driving the snowmobile on Magician Lake when he lost control and crashed into a shore station. Both Smith and his passenger, 22-year-old Andrew Camp of Mayfield, were thrown from the snowmobile. Camp was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Smit was not seriously hurt. Neither Smit nor Camp were wearing helmets, the sheriff’s departments ays, and alcohol was a factor.
