Mother and child killed in Northern Michigan crash identified
Jackie Lockhart, 25, and Kaylee Thomas were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened before 5 p.m. near Homestead Road and Eldridge Road in Benzonia Township.
Police believe Lockhart fell asleep at the wheel, hit a tow truck head-on, which caused the car to light on fire, 9 &10 News reported.
