A Lake Leelanau teenager has been sentenced to a year in prison for causing a car accident that killed one of his passengers and another driver.
Hendershot was a passenger in a 2005 Nissan that ran a stop sign while heading south on Schomberg Road. It collided with a pickup truck that was traveling east. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Glen Lake High School football field.
