An SUV ran off icy Interstate 94 Tuesday morning on the western edge of St. Paul and crashed, leaving the driver dead, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. on westbound I-94 soon after the SUV left southbound Hwy. 280, according to the State Patrol.
The man behind the wheel has been identified as Uriel Isodoro 29.
The patrol described the interstate as ice-covered at the time.
