7-year-old girl killed riding bike in east central Minn.

A 7-year-old Milaca girl was killed Tuesday night while riding her bike when she was hit by a car in Mille Lacs County, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a 7-year-old girl died after she was hit by a vehicle while riding her bike on a Mille Lacs County road.

One of three children returning from a fishing outing on their bikes was hit and killed by an SUV on a country road in Mille Lacs County after sunset and within a few hundred yards of her home, authorities said Wednesday. The collision that killed 7-year-old Alyssa Grimm occurred Tuesday night on County Road 8 near County Road 5, west of Pease, Minn., the State Patrol said.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a 7-year-old girl was killed on Tuesday, July 8 when she was hit by an SUV a short distance from her home. Alyssa Grimm was coming home from fishing with her sister Amanda and another friend around 10:15 when she was hit by a Saturn Outlook driven by Ryan Schipper, 29, of Milaca. She was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where she later died. The accident is still under investigation.
