A school bus serving the Burnsville Eagan Savage District and a car collided at an intersection Wednesday morning in Burnsville, and the handful of students aboard escaped injury, officials said. The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m. at Hwy. 13 and County Road 11, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s traffic operations center. One person in the car was slightly hurt but not seriously enough to require hospitalization, the State Patrol said. Four children on the bus, which was heading to Metcalf Junior High School and operated by a contractor, were not hurt, said district spokeswoman Ruth Dunn. The bus driver was transported from the scene by his employer, Durham Schools Transportation, for examination, Dunn added. Within an hour of the crash, both vehicles were removed and the busy intersection was clear.
