Two people are dead and two others were injured after a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Fridley Monday afternoon.
Authorities say the crash happened around 3:10 p.m. on East River Road and 79th Way Northeast.

The crash happened on Monday in Fridley, making this the second earliest motorcycle fatality on record in the state.

The preliminary investigation shows that the motorcycle was heading north on East River Road and was approaching the intersection of 79th Way Northeast. Police said they believe the motorcycle ran a red light at East River Road and hit a minivan that was turning south onto East River Road.
