Two people identified in wrong-way fatal crash

Alcohol appears to be factor in the accident, though police released no further information Saturday.
Cheron Swanson, 68, of Dayton, was driving east on County Road 81 Friday around 4 pm when she was struck head-on by a car driven by Michael Kelley, 54, who was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. Kelley, of Dayton, was also killed in the crash. A vehicle traveling westbound on County Road 81 had crossed over into the eastbound lane, causing an initial two-car sideswipe collision. The sideswiped vehicle then hit another vehicle. Three people suffered non-critical injuries in this first crash. After the first accident, Kelley continued driving westbound in the eastbound lane, and crashed into Swanson’s vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the crash scene. There were no occupants in either vehicle.
