When officers arrived, a 1997 Buick Century was heading west on Highway 95 when it crossed the centerline and hit a 2006 GMC Yukon head-on. The Yukon was heading eastbound. The Buick was on fire when first responders arrived to the crash scene.
St. Paul man dies in fiery crash on Hwy. 95 in Isanti County
Deputies were called to the intersection of Hwy. 95 and Zodiac Street about 2:15 a.m. after a westbound Buick Century driven by Jameson W. Fjelstad, 31,crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound GMC Yukon.
The car burst into flames and Fjelstad, who was trapped in the car, died at the scene, authorities said.
