One child is in critical condition after a crash in Pine County Friday just before 8 a.m.

Gracelynn R. Stadin was a passenger in a pickup truck that had stopped at a stop sign on Deerfield Lane and Hwy. 23 just before 8 a.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol. 
An 8-year-old child is dead after a semi broadsides a pickup in Pine County Friday just before 8 a.m. A Ford truck driven by 31-year-old Colette Stadin was stopped at a stop sign on Deerfield Lane and Highway 23 when she pulled forward and was struck on the side by a semi traveling south on Highway 23. An 8-year-old girl in the truck, Gracelynn Stadin, was brought to Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul in critical condition, where she later died. Collette Stadin and Samuel Stadin, 11, were brought to Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake with non-life-threatening injuries.  47-year-old Daniel Wimmer was driving the semi and was not injured
