A rear tire blew on the woman’s car, a Chrysler PT Cruiser, sending the vehicle into the median near Ellendale, the patrol said. The car rolled, causing it “to split in two,” a patrol statement read.

The crash occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday on southbound Interstate 35, about 13 miles south of Owatonna, according to the State Patrol.
