A 51-year-old man from Buffalo, Minn., was killed in a snowmobile crash over the weekend.

According to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Craig Peitz was on a trail parallel to Endicott Avenue Northwest in Silver Creek Township around 3 p.m. Saturday. Officials say Peitz was going southbound on the trail when he came over a hill, hit a snow crest and was thrown from the snowmobile.
Peitz was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The incident is still under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
