Ricky Dale Hodson, Jr., Amber Thompson, and Paisley Elaine Hodson, 20 months, killed in crash on Interstate 10 in Jackson County, Mississippi

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus identified the deceased as Ricky Dale Hodson, Jr., Amber Thompson and 20-month-old Paisley Elaine Hodson. According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Benjamin Seibert, another child, 6-year-old Ricky Hodson III, was also in the vehicle, but he was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries. Seibert said he is in fair condition.  

Two adults and one child were killed Wednesday night in a two-vehicle accident in the westbound lanes of I-10 near the 55-mile marker.

Ricky Hodson III had been abducted by his non-custodial mother, Jamie McCauslin, from Tulare, Calif., on Aug. 12. Authorities were notified and, although it is unknown if criminal charges were brought against McCauslin, the case was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).

"We have incurred so many expenses helping my son fight for custody of his son and recovering him from Mississippi.  They were on their way home when this horrific accident happened.   We have to travel to Mississippi to try to recover my grandson after the tragic accident that took the lives of my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. We have to have the remains of the three shipped back to make funeral arrangements for all."
