The accident happened at 7:45 a.m. just south of School Road near the entrance to the high school. Harrison County Schools Transportation Director Larry Benefield, described the accident as "a minor fender-bender."
"It appears that a small car pulled into the side of the bus as it was about to turn into Harrison Central High," Benefield said. Fifteen students were taken, by bus, to the hospital as a precaution. Benefield said their injuries appeared to be minor. There were 46 students on the bus at the time of the accident.
