Modified Date:Sat, 04/25/2015 - 6:31pm
Accident Date:Sunday, April 19, 2015
The wire, as thick as a heavy-duty nail, had entered through Parker's left nostril and embedded itself in his sinus cavity beneath his eye socket, next to his jaw hinge.
34-year-old Bill Parker was mowing his lawn last Sunday in Gulfport when he felt something hit him in the face. After his fiancée brought him to Memorial Hospital, a CT scan revealed that the lawn mower had propelled a 3½-inch metal fence wire up his nose and into his head. Parker had emergency surgery to remove the wire and is recovering.
