According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a man Perkinston man was driving an 18-wheeler west on Highway 26 when he crashed head-on with a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado that was headed eastbound in the westbound lane.

MHP spokesman Chase Elkins said John Goff, of Lucedale, died when he hit an 18-wheeler head-on on Hwy. 26 near the intersection of Frank Murphy Rd.
