4-wheeler accident claims the life of Pass Christian boy, 13

The 13-year-old boy who was killed in a 4-wheeler accident in Pass Christian on Wednesday evening has been identified as Donavon Necaise. Hendricks said two juvenile males were involved in the wreck, and Necaise was pronounced dead at the scene. The other boy was taken to a hospital in Mobile, AL, where he is listed in critical condition. Officers responded to the wreck near the intersection of Wood Street and Oakland Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Hendricks said the cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Pass Christian community is mourning the loss of a juvenile who was killed in a 4-wheeler accident near the intersection of Wood Street and Oakland Avenue on Wednesday night. Hendricks said two juvenile males were involved in the wreck, and one was pronounced dead at the scene by Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove. Hendricks said the cause of the accident is under investigation. The names of the victims are being withheld because they are juveniles. The other was taken to Gulfport Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Officials: 1 teen dead, 1 taken to hospital in ATV accident

Authorities say a teenage boy has died and another boy has been taken to the hospital after an ATV accident in Pass Christian. Officials told local news outlets that police and emergency crews arrived at the accident in the Timber Ridge community Wednesday evening. Hargrove says the second boy was taken to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says 13-year-old Donavon Necaise was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt-force trauma to the head. 

7-year-old ATV accident survivor's condition improving

Friends of the Enroth family have set up a GoFundMe account to help with medical and funeral expenses. Investigators said it appears Necaise lost control of the ATV and ran off the side of the road into a ditch. The ATV hit the embankment on the other side of the ditch and tumbled into the woods. Grandmother remembers her grandson killed in ATV accident

A grieving grandmother visited the site on Wood Street in Pass Christian where her grandson lost his life in an ATV accident just hours earlier. Donovan Necaise, 13, was pronounced dead on the scene Wednesday evening, Necaise's younger brother Abryn Enroth, 7, remains in the hospital. According to police, Necaise was driving the 4-wheeler, lost control ran off the side of the road and into the ditch.

Teen recalls finding Pass Christian brothers in ATV accident

Jacob Burleson rides Wood Street in Pass Christian almost every day from his parents'€™ home to his grandmothers. On Wednesday evening around 6:30, the teen said he was riding his bike home from his grandmother's house after playing dominoes with the family. Burleson said when he walked up to the two brothers, he knew he was going to need to get them help. "They gave CPR to the kid that wasn't breathing and they were trying to help the other kid,'€ he recalled. Authorities said Donovan was driving the ATV when he lost control, ran off the side of the road and into the ditch.
