Edward Dean Parnel, 47, and Brian Matthew Walls, 40, killed and Robert Asa Vice, Jr., 40, and Kelley Burroughs, 27, critically injured in single-vehicle car accident on Old River Road in Vancleave, MS

Two people were killed in a car accident early Wednesday morning on Old River Road in Vancleave, and two others were transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The 2001 silver Pontiac Grand Am crashed into a tree around 1:15am. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.  Edward Dean Parnel, 47, of Vancleave and Brian Matthew Walls, 40, of Escatawpa, both died at the scene. Robert Asa Vice, Jr., 40, and Kelley Burroughs, 27, both from Helena, are hospitalized in critical condition. Vice was driving the vehicle when it crashed, according to authorities.
