A 58-year-old Greenville man was killed in a hit and run Saturday night, a local law enforcement official said.

Albert Smith Jr., 58, was found lying dead in the southbound lane of the 1200 block of Martin Luther King Boulevared in Greenville after he was struck by a vehicle. According to the Greenville police, the hit-and-run accident happened around 8:43 p.m. last Saturday.
