Disaster averted in a propane truck collision in Jones County

Monday morning, July 27, a crash involving a propane truck and a pickup truck could have been a disastrous situation, but, fortunately, disaster was averted. At 7:03 a.m., emergency medical responders and rescue units from Powers and Glade Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the wreck, which occurred on Highway 184 in front of Dixie Electric Power Association.  Upon arrival rescue personnel found a Herring Propane Truck, upright, off the road and in a ditch after being hit from behind by a GMC Sierra Z71.
