Jason L. Walters, 41, killed in single-vehicle accident on Loflin Road in Rankin County, Mississippi

A single-vehicle crash on Loflin Road near Westville Road at around 6:40 pm on Sunday night killed one man. Officials arriving at the scene found that a 2001 Buick passenger car driving west on Loflin Road appeared to have run off the right side the roadway, striking a utility pole. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Jason L. Walters of Brandon. Walters died of his injuries at the scene.
