Man Killed in Collision on MS 540
James Smith, 68 of Magee, was killed while driving on the westbound side of MS 540 east of US 49 Monday morning, according to State Trooper Eric D. Henry.
MHP investigates fatal Simpson Co. crash
According to Trooper Eric Henry, a 2000 Chevrolet 1500 was driving east bound when the driver lost control in a curve and struck the west bound side of the highway.

James Smith was driving on MS 540 when an oncoming driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the divive, striking Smith. Smith died at the scene. THe Mississippi Highway Patrol believes the incident may be related to a medical condition.
