Mississippi Highway Patrol says that around 9 p.m. Wednesday, a red Chevrolet Silverado was northbound on U.S. 51, when it ran off the road and struck a tree. The driver, Trevor M. Cooper, was killed in the accident, which happened in Gallman, Copiah County.
