Tommie C. Oquinn, 72, dies in single-vehicle crash on MS 28 and Tower Road in Copiah County, Mississippi

Copiah County: Man identified in fatal single vehicle accident

Saturday on MS 28 in Copiah County. According to Trooper Eric Henry, with MHP, a fatal accident early Saturday morning claimed the life of one person. MHP has identified the victim as 72- year-old Tommie C. Oquinn of Rochdale, NY. Oquinn was the driver of the F-150 involved in the single vehicle accident. Henry said the accident happened near Tower Road and the vehicle was traveling westbound on MS 28 when the Oquinn  ran off the roadway and stuck a tree. We're told the man was in MS for a family reunion and visiting family.
