2 killed in crash with Panola County investigator

The crash happened around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon near Terza Road and Highway 6. Mississippi Highway Patrol said Linda Irwin, 76, and her husband William, 81, both died from injuries sustained in the crash. The Panola County investigator had minor injuries. The Panola County Sheriff's Office said the investigator was trying to track down a wanted suspect when the crash happened.

You have to question the judgement of a SD employee embarking on a chase at a time when this intersection is usually at its busiest. Couple that with an area where people are stubborn about yielding to oncoming traffic in this area--a law enforcement official should know better. Another sheriff's deputy/"investigator" killed a motorist at this same intersection last September.
