The accident happened at approximately 10:20 p.m. on Highway 278 near County Road 317.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, James Banks, 21, was walking eastbound on Highway 6 near County Road 317 when he was hit by two vehicles traveling east.
