Child injured in Clarke Co. accident passes away
The Clarke County Sheriff's Department says the accident happened at Millbrook Plantation near Stonewall. Authorities say the child was outside when she was hit by a truck.
Sheriff Todd Kemp describes what happened in Stonewall Wednesday night as a horrible tragedy. Kemp says the six-year-old girl was at the Millbrook Plantation when it happened.
“This is a hunting preserve. Mother and father were there. They were just enjoying spring break,” Kemp says. “There is no foul play suspected here. It was just a tragic accident on private land.”
