Authorities say four people have died after a sport utility vehicle tumbled down a northwest Missouri embankment and wasn’t discovered for several hours.

Four killed in northern Missouri crash
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 20-year-old Trey Shaw was headed east on Missouri Route 190 -- a half of a mile west of the Daviess-Grundy County line -- around 1:40 p.m. The patrol says Shaw went partially off the right side of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle skidded and began to travel off the north side of the road.
