The wreck happened just before 11 a.m. a half-mile east of Noland Road when Roher’s pickup truck veered off the right side of the road and slammed into a rocky bluff. Police were still trying to determine Wednesday why he left the road and whether he was wearing his seatbelt. He didn’t appear to have hit the brake before the crash, police said.

Officers shut down the westbound lanes of Missouri 350 at Northwest Colbern Road for several hours to investigate the crash.
